From the Road APRIL 11, 2013
It’s been a rainy couple of days here in Indiana, but that
hasn’t stopped us from seeing some great cattle and chatting with great
breeders! Today our travels took us from
Goshen, Angola, Avilla, Churubusco, and Muncie.
We started the day at Mark Kritzman’s in Goshen, Indiana
viewing the “Duck Dynasty Calf Crop”, which included Willie, an I-80 Heifer,
and Uncle Si, a Full Brother to Heat Wave.

Our travels lead us up to Mark Henney’s, the owner of “Goose”
the Dam of our 2012 Popular Sire “Walkie Talkie” Mark had 2 really good Monopoly x Goose Bull
Calves. Both were stout, shaggy and soft footed. Goose also had an I-80 son
natural that was soft made and hairy as
can be! (check out the video we took on this one!) Goose Strikes Again!!
Larry Ott had an impressive set of
I-80 Heifers and Monopoly steers. Ron
Smithson, from Churubusco, had a real fancy I-80 heifer out of a Monopoly Dam
that looks to have an impressive future. Also in Churubusco, Ryan Ott had a
great set of Unstoppable calves – Big Bellies, Big Butts and Lots of Hair!
Down in Muncie, Indiana, Tom Borchers had a big time Unstoppable
bull calf out of an Imprint cow. One of the hairiest animals we’ve seen thus
far. Also from Muncie, Brad Butler had a week old, red Unstoppable bull calf
that looks very promising!
